Registration
How do I unlock/register the trial version I've downloaded?
Once inside MIPSter, click on Help in the menu, then click Enter Registration Key. You will be prompted for your name (or company name) and the registration key that can be generated here. The name you enter on this screen must be the same name you specified when you generated the key or the registration key will not match.
Installation
Which operating systems does MIPSter support?
MIPSter will run on Windows 98, ME, XP, NT, 2000, and Server 2003. It was written in .NET, and the .NET Framework is not available for Windows 95, so it will not run on that platform.
Why do I get errors when I try to install MIPSter?
MIPSter requires the .NET Framework 1.1, which is available for free from Microsoft. Visit http://www.windowsupdate.com to keep your system up-to-date. Also, MIPSter 2.0 will not run on Windows 95 because there is no .NET Framework available for that platform.

Where are the examples?
If you accepted the defaults during the MIPSter installation, the examples should be in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Downcast Systems\MIPSter 2.0\Examples
If your drive letter differs from C, then please substitute it accordingly.
